EXPERIENCE

Supervisor of Laboratory Services                                          1999 – present
Center to Advance Molecular Interaction Science (CAMIS)
University of New Hampshire, Durham, Nh
Research project centers on determination of the valence of macromolecules using unique analytical electrophoresis instrumentation developed by CAMIS and capillary electrophoresis.Additional research performed on the biophysical characteristics of recombinant spider silk proteins.  Other biophysical chemistry instrumentation includes analytical ultracentrifuge, surface plasmon resonance, light scattering with HPLC, viscometry and densitometry.

Scientist                                                                                  1995 - 1999
Binax, NH, Inc. (formally BioQuest, Inc.)
Atkinson, NH
Developed cell selection protocols, immunoassays and protein coupling procedures for immunomagnetic colloids.Directed the analytical laboratory utilizing the techniques of FAAS, ELISA, fluorescent assays, Vibrating samples magnetometer, TGA, Nicomp Submicron Particle Sizer, PCR, and titration.Trained and supervised laboratory technicians and student interns.

Dr. Henry J. Thompson, Animal Science and Nutrition Department

University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH
Analyzed biological tissues for trace elements utilizing flame and furnace AAS
Palpated rat mammary tumors and cared for laboratory rats

Laboratory Technician                                                                 1982-1984
Dr. Edward K. Tillinghast, Department of Zoology

University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH
Studied spider physiology and chemical fractionation of spider webs utilizing gel electrophoresis, column chromatography and various enzyme assays

Laboratory Technician                                                                1981-1982
